In May 2001, Cheryl moved from a private legal practice to an in-house position with one of Houston's most admired companies—Enron. Less than six months later, CNN was broadcasting live from the parking lot, Rev. Al Sharpton was protesting on the front steps and Cheryl determined that her career decision-making skills were in desperate need of a sabbatical. Her affinity for adventure and foreign coasts led her to the Oread.
